Im a 36 yr old single Mom of a Wonderful 7 yr old boy. His Father has been gone for over a year now and has not payed child support in 8 months. It was a very abusive relationship that I had to get out of for my safety and my sons safety. We found a new home to rent, with hopes of a fresh start. Im proud of the fact I have provided for us and stayed fairly strong. Until now that is. I have had the same job for 7 yrs now and the pay is based on the amt of work available & amt I complete. We have our slow periods, but now is especially slow as our vendors are revamping their systems. So the past month my pay is literally 1/3 of normal. I've tried many resources, but seems no funds are available in most cases. (Busy time of year I guess) In the past month, my car needed repairs, my laptop needed repairs (which I need for work), our tv broke, I am 2 months behind on car pymts, I am 500 short for Dec rent and I have absolutely no way to give my son a decent Christmas. I'm tryin to stay strong for my son, but its hard. I have no family that is able to help, which is disheartening in a way since I have always helped them any way I could, but can't fault them either. I guess my main concern is rent and gifts for my son. I just need to get through this hard time. I want to be smiling through the Holidays, not crying and worrying so much. My son has been through alot of change and he needs this as much, if not more, than I do. So if you can find it in your heart to help at all you would be granting a very much needed Christmas Wish.
